Rally of Hope for the Realization of a Heavenly Unified World
Cheongshim Peace World Center, August 9, 2020
Beloved blessed families of Cheon Il Guk and members of Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community. I have waited a long time to see you. I am so pleased to meet you.
Respected current and former heads of state, prime ministers, religious leaders, and representatives of all sectors of society throughout the world!
I am aware of the great concern you have and the tremendous work you are doing for the safety and health of your citizens. This is why our heartfelt desire is growing stronger: we wish for a community of all people, one family of humankind centering on the Heavenly Parent, united under the values of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universal values. Unfortunately, until now, our history has been characterized by conflict. Even today, at this moment, conflicts are continuing. Why is it that hope for the future remains so elusive?
More than 1 Million are expected to join! World Leaders to point the way forward beyond global challenges including Covid-19, race relations, environmental problems and global economic turndown. Speakers include former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and H.E. Macky Sall, President of Senegal. UPF Co-Founder Dr. Hak Ja Han will offer a special keynote message of hope to humanity.
Wishing all our Muslim brothers and sisters Happy Eid ul Adha!
Often abbreviated to Eid (which means festival), Id al-Adha is one of two major Muslim holidays. It marks the end of the Hajj, the pilgrimage at Mecca which all Muslims who can afford to do so are obliged to perform once in their life time. The Festival commemorates Abraham‘s willingness to sacrifice his son, and signifies that Muslims too are prepared to surrender for God that which they most value, the holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning “festivity.”
